What could be worse when the world seems to fall apart, when all you had worked for seem to be washed away and wasted. Worst feelings could be felt after the tsunami and earthquake in Japan on March 11, 2011. Every people has been losing their hopes, their faith. Lucky are those who managed to survive and had stayed strong and until this day, still hoping and praying that everything could turn back on them, that all that they had lost could be regained. I wasn't among them, but as i saw the photos, it was tremendous, tragic, so touching that i could say i am lucky i was not one of them. It was heartbreaking to see their status right now. They need help, comfort and support, not just financially, but most of all, moral and spiritual support to help them stand and regain everything that they had.
What could be more comforting when you know other people are there to help, when you know there are still those kindhearted beings who could give such encouragement and furtherance, the blessing of aid and friendship.
That was what the Philippine Assistance Group or PAG did to our fellow Filipinos who were still on the evacuation centers. They were hopeless who need comfort. They were homeless who need shelter. They need foods, medicines, clothings and all the likes. They need other people's help. And PAG was there to rescue. On the moment of their frustration and depression, PAG was there to comfort.
As I saw the photos posted by my babe, i could see the unity of those fellow Filipinos who had shared their efforts and support for these evacuees. Joy, contentment, satisfaction, bliss, elation, hope. All these and more were the extreme result of their unity and oneness.
The contingent was composed of 44 leaders and members of FILCOM in Tokyo together with Consul-General Confiado of the Philippine Embassy, his wife, Madame Precy, Vice -Consul Ryan Pondoc and the OISCA International, a Japanese Non-Profit Organization.
As a result, the Outreach Mission to Minamisanriku-cho in Miyagi-ken was a success. One great job for one great organization. Congratulations Philippine Assistance Group, which at that moment was headed by the PML.
Some photos are as follows.
